It's the middle of summer Cover to Cocktails fans, so it's time for a light summer drink! The Twyford is exactly that, sharp and refreshing. Inspired by the book the Twyford Code, this cocktail has a gin base representative of the main character in our book and all of the mini bottles that he drinks. With the story taking place in Britain, it is also a take on a popular British cocktail called a Bramble. Using a thyme and blackberry simple syrup adds a great flavor that compliments the gin perfectly.
Susan and I both really loved this drink! Susan isn't usually a gin fan, but we both enjoyed the nice balance of flavors without an overly strong gin taste. With a hint of citrus this cocktail is perfect for a summer day on the patio. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we did. Until next time have a drink, read a book and be happy!
